Poland's Mateusz Klich poses as Barcelona's 'new signing'

Berlin - With the Camp Nou as a backdrop and holding a Barcelona shirt bearing his name over the Number 10, Mateusz Klich has spoofed a dream transfer to replace Lionel Messi.

At first sight, it looks like Poland international Klich has penned the contract of his life by switching from second division side Kaiserslautern to Spanish giants Barcelona -- and claimed Messi's number 10.

But the picture posted by Klich on social media site Instagram on Saturday, under the caption 'A new episode in my life', is nothing more than a self-confident spoof.

The 25-year-old used the international break, having not been called up by Poland coach Adam Nawalka, to visit Barcelona and go on a tour of the Camp Nou, where he bought a shirt and posed for the picture.

Klich has already endured some rib-tickling for his stunt and ex-team-mate Kevin Scheidhauer, who played alongside him for Wolfsburg's reserves, posted: "Have Barca now got a third team?"

Klich's fired back by joking: "Messi's going to Real (Madrid) and they bought me".

Having sat out Poland's key Euro 2016 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland in Warsaw on Sunday, the midfielder's dreams will receive a dose of reality when he returns to Kaiserslautern.

They have an away match at mid-table Sandhausen in Germany's second division on Friday night and the hosts are a point above them in the table.
