Monchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann shelved with knee injury
Bundesliga side Borussia Mochengladbach announced Thursday that German-born midfielder Patrick Herrmann will be sidelined with a tear in the rear cruciate ligament of his left knee, according to the club's official website.
The injury will keep Hermann out "for the coming weeks," but no specific timeline was given.

The club's website states the injury was discovered earlier Thursday and sparked concerns of a prior ailment to the same knee.
"After speaking to some specialists, we have decided against an operation. Patrick will undergo conservative treatment and try to make steady progress after the coming four weeks. After that the club and player will decide what happens next," Dr. Stefan Hertl said after examining the 24-year-old twice-capped German international.
