Bayern Munich sign 'keeper Sven Ulreich on 3-year deal

Sven Ulreich will be sitting on the bench at the Allianz Arena next season after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with Bayern Munich.

Ulreich, 26, carved out an illustrious career at VfB Stuttgart, who he joined in 1998, and with whom he made his Bundesliga debut in 2008. The change of allegiance will surely mean less playing time, as he's joining a squad where Manuel Neuer reigns supreme.

"I was looking for a new challenge after many years with Stuttgart," Ulreich said. "FC Bayern is exactly the right place for me to be. I'm really looking forward to the whole team and all the new things I'm set to experience here. I want to make a contribution to our success and will always be there when called upon."
