Pepe Reina's lackluster season with Bayern Munich is over.
The Spanish 'keeper will miss the team's remaining Bundesliga matches after being handed a two-match ban for the red card he picked up over the weekend during Bayern's 1-0 loss to Augsburg.
Reina, who joined Bayern on a three-year contract last summer, was sent off after 13 minutes when he collided with Raul Bobadilla while challenging for the ball.
Despite being on Bayern's Bundesliga-winning squad, Reina's season was primarily spent on the sidelines spectating as Manuel Neuer's firm grip on the starting role rarely presented an opportunity for the 32-year-old.
Reina finished his first season in Munich with two clean sheets in three appearances.
