Rode's curler leads Bayern Munich to victory

The recovery process after Bayern Munich's surprising Champions League loss to FC Porto got off to a positive start Saturday when the Bundesliga earned its third consecutive league win.
After 39 minutes of scoreless football against a stubborn Hoffenheim side, Sebastian Rode finally broke the deadlock when he unleashed a curling shot beyond Oliver Baumann.
It was unfortunate for Baumann following his diving save moments earlier, but his inability to hang on to the ball led to another Bayern attack that was finished off with a world-class goal.
An own-goal from Andreas Beck in the dying moments of the match sealed the win for Bayern, as they extend their lead atop the standings to 13 points over Wolfsburg with five matches to go.
