Bottom side Stuttgart turn to Stevens again

BERLIN - Dutch trainer Huub Stevens is back again at Bundesliga bottom side VfB Stuttgart after being named successor to Armin Veh as head coach on Tuesday.

Veh was sacked on Monday after just six months in charge having claimed only nine points in 12 league games and Stevens is reported to have been given a contract by Stuttgart until the end of the season.

The 60-year-old returns to Stuttgart after only six months away.

After taking charge in May following the sacking of Thomas Schneider, Stevens kept VfB up last season as caretaker coach before resigning in May after taking 12 points from 10 games before Veh's appointment.
