Eintracht Frankfurt sign 'keeper Timo Hildebrand

With Wednesday's news that first-choice goalkeeper Kevin Trapp is out for 10-to-12 weeks after undergoing successful ankle surgery on a torn ligament, Eintracht Frankfurt have turned to 35-year-old Timo Hildebrand to fill the void.
Hildebrand, who was released by Schalke at the end of last season and has seven caps with Germany's national team, will take on the role of Frankfurt's back-up 'keeper behind Felix Wiedwald, something he was well aware of upon signing the deal.
"The positions are as Bruno Hubner has confirmed and I clearly agreed," said Hildebrand upon joining the club. "I want to support Felix Wiedwald and offer him my help."
Trapp suffered his ankle injury in Frankfurt's 2-2 draw versus Mainz on Tuesday.
