Ramos reminds Pique of PSG game after tweet following offside goal

Sergio Ramos is often Real Madrid's saviour, but the Spanish centre-back was almost the villain Tuesday, scoring an own goal in the second leg of the tie between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the Champions League's quarter-finals.

In the end, Ramos was spared blushes thanks to Viktor Kassai, the Hungarian referee who incorrectly sent off Arturo Vidal in the 84th minute and then allowed two of Real Madrid's extra-time goals to stand even though they were offside.

Ramos set up Real Madrid's first offside goal by lifting the ball for Cristiano Ronaldo, who was about 2 yards past the last defender. Ronaldo proceeded to shoot the ball past Manuel Neuer, also causing the German 'keeper to suffer a foot injury in the process.

Gerard Pique, known for voicing his opinions, was quick to react on Twitter:

Ramos responded to Pique by pointing to Barcelona's victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League's Round of 16. The Blaugrana's miraculous win was fuelled by a blatant act of cheating when Luis Suarez threw himself to the ground and earned a penalty kick.

"He should rewind and look back to the PSG game and see if he thinks the same about the referees. Let's wait and see what happens with Juventus in the second leg," Ramos said, according to Marca.

Ramos and Pique will take the pitch together at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, when Real Madrid and Barcelona renew their rivalry in El Clasico.
