Bayern Munich stars who were incensed with several decisions during Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second-leg defeat to Real Madrid reportedly took matters into their own hands.

Reports out of Spain purported that police were forced to intercede when three Bayern players entered the referee's dressing room after the 4-2 loss.

Bayern players were aggrieved after Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai missed two offside calls that resulted in goals, and sent Arturo Vidal off for two cautions, the second of which for what appeared to be a clean tackle.

Those decisions prompted Robert Lewandowski, Thiago Alcantara, and Vidal to enter the referee's quarters, according to Jose Luis Sanchez of Spanish outlet Atresmedia TV, with Marca adding that shouting could be heard in the tunnel of the Santiago Bernabeu moments after the match. For context, Marca is a Madrid publication that has previously shown a bias toward the Champions League holder.

A UEFA spokesman denied receiving word of the incident, telling ESPN FC: "No disciplinary cases have been opened following Tuesday's UEFA Champions League matches."

Several Bayern Munich players and staff expressed disgust with the match official following the second leg, which saw the Bavarian behemoth's string of three straight semi-final appearances snapped.

Alcantara said: "I don't even have words for Vidal's sending off. It was not a yellow card, it was not even a foul."

Vidal piggybacked those comments, adding, "It is very tough when they steal a game from you like that - two goals offside and me wrongly sent off. When two big teams meet like this in the Champions League, such a robbery cannot happen."
