Koscielny's dubious red sees Bayern Munich take control
Laurent Koscielny was forced to leave an Arsenal bout with Bayern Munich early once again, but this time it was due to a controversial red card shown by referee Anastasios Sidiropoulos.
The Frenchman left the first leg early through injury - a departure which sparked a collapse in the 5-1 defeat - but received his marching orders on Tuesday after the touchline assistant adjudged the defender to have denied Robert Lewandowski a clear goal-scoring opportunity in the area.
But never mind the red card - was it even a penalty?
Lewandowski emphatically converted the spot kick, confidentially sending David Ospina the wrong way, perhaps putting the two-legged affair beyond Arsenal's reach at 6-2 on aggregate.
Arjen Robben made the double-headed Round of 16 tilt 7-2 13 minutes later.
