Arjen Robben is optimistic his Bayern Munich career will continue beyond this season.

With his contract set to expire at season's end, the Dutch international expressed optimism that his agent, who also happens to be his father, is prepared to discuss terms with Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"My father is ready (for a talk), he likes to drink coffee with Mr. Rummenigge," Robben told Sky Sports.

"I read as well about the contract term, but we are not so far apart.

"Maybe everything is done after one talk. It will not be very difficult."

The 32-year-old - who's been with Bayern since 2009 - managed to make his first start in over a month during Friday's win over Mainz after battling a thigh knock.

Despite being limited to just eight league appearances, Robben continues to be productive after scoring four goals and providing three assists.
