Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is a well-traveled fellow, having enjoyed stints in some of Europe's biggest cities during his managerial career.

Whether in Milan, Madrid, Munich, Turin or London, Ancelotti has often earned respect on the sidelines and trophies for the fans to celebrate.

Three Champions League titles and a slew of domestic championships tell the story of the Italian tactician, who admits - despite having just started in Bavaria - he would be open to a Paris return, where once he managed Paris Saint-Germain.

"Why not? I was very happy in Paris," Ancelotti said, as quoted by ESPN FC. "I have a very good memory of France, of Paris. When you're fired, there's perhaps a moment when you're not happy.

"But afterward ... I have never had any rancour towards Paris. I didn't have problems, I had a very good experience in Paris.

"I wanted to leave, but I think if I had stayed, I would have extended my contract. (PSG president) Nasser (Al-Khelaifi) and I send each other messages, I have very good relations with the (deputy) sporting director Olivier Letang. I have maintained a good relationship with PSG."

Ancelotti guided PSG to its first title since 1994, but then asked to depart at the end of the 2012-13 season, soon joining Real Madrid. While he maintains fond memories of his time in the French capital, Ancelotti admits his initial surprise at the team's lack of professionalism upon his arrival.

"When I arrived, at the start, I think the mentality was not very, very professional," Ancelotti said, as quoted by ESPN FC. "In a team, you can have a player that doesn't train as you would like. So you have to put in place a relationship through dialogue to make him work differently.

"At the top level, you have to ensure players train well, but also recover well and eat well. Especially at a club where you play every three days. You don't have time to train, rather you have time only to recover."
