Arjen Robben pulled up during a sprint in Bayern Munich's friendly at Lippstadt 08 on Saturday, forcing him to leave the match on 35 minutes with a suspected thigh injury.

ESPN FC's Bruno Secco suspects it's a fairly serious issue that could result in a layoff of three-to-four weeks. The absence would see him available for the start of the 2016-17 Bundesliga campaign, but potentially out of Der FCB's upcoming pre-season tour of the United States.

Its Stateside commitments involve tilts against AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.

Robben had rounded the goalkeeper to tuck away Bayern Munich's second earlier in the game in Lippstadt, and left proceedings with the scoreline at 3-0 following an effort from Franck Ribery.

The 32-year-old Dutch winger has suffered several bouts on the treatment table in recent times, most notably missing the last 15 matches of last season with abductor problems.
