Bayern snaps up starlet Weiser

Munich, Germany (Sports Network) - Bayern Munich announced Friday that it has secured the services of Germany starlet Mitchell Weiser on a three-year deal.

Weiser, 18, joins last season's Bundesliga runners-up from Cologne, which was relegated after a 17th-place finish.

"We are very happy to have Mitchell Weiser, one of Germany's most talented future prospects, in our squad," said Christian Nerlinger, Bayern's director of sport.

Weiser becomes Bayern's fifth signing of the summer, making the switch to the Allianz Arena along with Dante, Claudio Pizarro, Xherdan Shaqiri and Tom Starke.
