Jalen Brunson had his finest postseason performance, scoring a Knicks playoff-record 47 points to lift New York to a 97-92 Game 4 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Brunson's outburst broke Bernard King's 40-year franchise record for points in a postseason contest.

The Villanova product also added 10 assists, four boards, and one steal. He shot 18-of-34 from the field and converted 9-of-11 free throws.

It's the first time in NBA history that a player has posted at least 45 points and 10 assists in a playoff game when their team was held to under 100 points, per The Athletic's Jared Weiss.

"Jalen's a great player," said Knicks wing OG Anunoby postgame, per SNY. "You should come to expect it. You expect him to make every shot ... Even when he was cold the first couple of games, you knew he was gonna turn around."

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid had 27 points, 10 boards, six assists, three steals, and two blocks for the 76ers in a losing cause.

New York outscored Philadelphia 44-32 in the paint and tallied 13 more second-chance points.

Josh Hart and Anunoby each had a big effort on the glass, recording 17 and 14 boards, respectively.

The Knicks, now with a commanding 3-1 series lead, can close out the 76ers with a victory Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

"We got a lot to prove," Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said postgame, per NJ.com's Adam Zagoria. "It takes four to win a series, and that's what we gotta focus on."
