Future Pro Football Hall of Famer Frank Gore believes his son, former Southern Miss running back Frank Gore Jr., is ready to prove doubters wrong after signing with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent.

"I know what I'm raising. Folks slept on my son. They slept on me, too - they'll see. My bloodline is for real," Gore told CBS Sports' Josina Anderson. "Our (predraft) testing was identical. All the scouts were like, 'You can tell that's (your) son.'"

Gore added: "I'm happy to get my son to this point. We're coming to play. Buffalo got a dog, I promise you that. I don't give a (expletive) about a draft pick. We're about to party and do our thing."

Gore played for the Bills in 2019. He retired from the NFL in 2022 after signing a one-day contract with the San Francisco 49ers, with whom he spent the first 10 seasons of his career.

Gore Jr. played four seasons at Southern Miss, rushing for 4,022 yards and 26 touchdowns on 759 carries.
